Richard Stanley

I love the colours and tones of sky and water both early morning and evening.

A Fresh Pitch

Richard has been painting oil and pastel landscapes for around 30 years on and off. Over the last 15 years he has turned professional and operates his own Art Gallery/Studio on the main street of Cygnet, Tasmania.

He reproduces his own art work into Fine Art Prints and also does his own framing.

Following some successful years where he won several art prizes, he was approached by two galleries in Hobart. Gallery Salamanca and Aspect Design now exhibit and sell his original paintings and fine art prints.

Cloudy Bay Lagoon

I also enjoy painting distance, space and atmosphere.

East Coast Tasmania

Richard comes from a creative family with his brother in Western Australia being an artist and his mother still painting at 88 years of age in Victoria, his father was a professional musician.

As well as painting he produces stained glass windows and glass jewellery.
