Sadly we will soon be farewelling long time HAEG member and past president Jill Miller as she is moving to Queensland.
Before she leaves Jill will be having a clearance show of a number of her works, so this will be your chance to pick up an original work by this popular watercolourist at a very reasonable price.
Jill Miller will be hosting an opening event at the Lovett Gallery Cygnet at 2pm on Saturday 15th 2020.
Jill Miller’s Farewell Sale then continues for 2 weeks until Friday 28th Feb, closed only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Kate Smith has kindly donated to HAEG a large framed print of one of her fantastic artworks “The French Encounter“.
This artwork is being raffled by HAEG at only $5 per ticket, and tickets are available in the Lovett Gallery Cygnet now and right through until the winner is drawn on 26th March 2020 (after the Huon Art Awards close).
Paul Thomas manages the roster so please take a look at the sitting calendar, see what slot you can take, and use the form below the calendar to book your slot.
Paul will respond to you to confirm your booking.
At the 2019 HAEG AGM Paul Thomas was awarded Life Membership of HAEG in recognition of his many years of service to the group, his countless hours of work and his continuing willingness to put his hand up for the tough jobs.
Paul was presented with a lasting token of appreciation – a sculpture by local artist Mark Roberts.
The aim is to cultivate artistic and cultural life in Southern Tasmania’s rural areas and to foster young and emerging artists.
HAEG events give local artists of all abilities a venue to show their work, and an opportunity to meet with artists in the region.
The work of members is available for purchase from the Lovett Gallery at very reasonable rates. Works can also be purchased by contacting a committee member.
