Huon Art Awards 2016

HAEG's annual art exhibition and sale is now called "Huon Art Awards"

The Opening

Retired Greens Senator Bob Brown (a HAEG member) opened the first Huon Art Awards to a hall filled with art, artists and art-lovers. The judges this year were Jessica Miller, Peter Whyte and Barbie Kjar. Barbie remained on stage for the presentations and gave an interesting insight into each of the judges decisions.

There were 147 entries in this first Huon Art Awards year, with a wide range of styles and subjects.

Thanks again to the many sponsors who made Huon Art Awards 2016 possible, the hard work of many HAEG volunteers, and of course the artists who submitted entries for display and judging this year. Food, wine, and music provided by DayStar Duo completed the evening.
