The Huon Art Awards

As an open entry art award, the Huon Art Awards provides an opportunity for Tasmanian artists to receive recognition and to exhibit their work. It also provides a focal point for the promotion of the visual arts in Southern Tasmania and is timed to coincide with the Cygnet Regatta, the Taste of The Huon, Ten Days on The Island and the Handmade in Cygnet Art Trail ensuring wide exposure for both the artists and sponsors.

The first Huon Art Awards were held in March 2016, attracting 176 entries and recording attendances in excess of 2000 visitors from Tasmania and interstate.

Sponsorship

We are currently seeking sponsors from the community who would be willing to contribute prize money for the awards listed below. Your contribution to an award in full or part would be very welcome in any of the categories. Please note that Awards can be attributed eg. Johnsons Award for Watercolour.

Sponsors’ Logos will be published on all promotional materials to do with the Exhibition, including HAEG’s website, and if you wish, banners or similar corporate advertising can be displayed throughout the venue.

Although Awards will not need to be finalised until early in the year, your early response would be much appreciated. This will also ensure that your commitment as a sponsor will be acknowledged in all advance promotions for The Huon Art Awards.

Note: If you do not wish to contribute the full amount of an award, we welcome contributions for part of an award.
